Watch Description

The BULOVA "PHYSICIAN," Circa 1936- 42? I ID'd this from a 1940 watch crystal catalog, and it is also listed in the 1941 and '42 catalogs, as well... I don't know any more about this model, so if anyone else reading this does... kindly leave more information!?

I believe the 1936- 39 models of this namesake may well be the same as the 1940- 42???

Why is the case serial number unknown?
Did the poster own this watch? If not, how are the crystal sizes known?

William (Scott) dealt in crystals, and had lots of crystal catalogs and info.  He would often use interesting examples from eBay or other places for the database in earlier days, when we didn't have as many records from folks who actually have the watch in hand.  This method served us well, and I still enter interesting watches which I don't own if there's enough info to warrent doing so.  ...and I have permission to use the photos.  His crystal specs may be from what ID he thinks the watch has, so I think of them more like a possible crystal which would fit the model name he assigns, vs a crystal spec that actually was fitted to the subject watch.  He will often state he owns the watch and has tried or fitted the crystal, so this helps me determine which crystal specs are an "educated guess" and which actually were fitted to the watch.

I think this is the third possible Physician model housing a 7AC movement with two date codes.  Maybe one for when movement was first made, and the second for when it was fitted to the later Physician case for original point of sale?
