No Guys, I ID'd the Watch as a Beacon, Gary disagreed.

I think Waynes Watch is a Beacon with a Dial / Hand variant.

The Case issimilarity (is that a word?) is an optical illusion caused by a combination of Camera angle, reflection, the Gold edge on the flex band and Waynes ' bad photography. lol!.

Beacon.

Beacon from the side, compare the lugs to Wayne's

A shot of the front,

The lugs are flush with the bezel, and on Wayne's the set up on the bezel.

Side angle shots helped, did I say Beacon?....I mean't not a Beacon.

Good eye Greg.

Greg & GJ are right.

My black dialed unknown (Beacon Wannabe) has a case like nwfisk, the lug covers do not curve as the phota above clearly illustrates. The obvious difference is the curved over lug covers. Greg's photo has brought out what GJ has been trying to clarify for weeks now.

Fianlly we all agree....I thought a few of you were going crazy there for a bit....that or I desperately need to see an eye doctor!!

I'm glad we all finally agree that Waynes watch case IS different from the Beacon.

Now to ID it.....

hay admin   My eyes were giving me problems too, and I went to an optimist to have them checked out.  He told me "don't worry about it, your vision will get better".  Now any new ad for this watch?

GJ & Greg are right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gregg your photo show the details of the lugs & the way they curve around the sides My black dialed (Beacon Wannabee) is surely not a beacon according to the ad. Nwfisk your watch is a Beacon Wannabee also. I think our watches are about a half a cut above the Beacon. GJ has been very patient trying to explain this for about a month now.

I will post mine in the database as a Beacon this weekend, finished it up tonight.

Waynes and Nwfisk's are so close and it will be fun to try to get them ID's as well, same era, now to find a ad...Plains??? ;)

Shouldn't this watch be a '42 based on the case #?
