Same dial type as the 1939 Ambassador "C" but looks to be in a President style case.

A president variant perhaps.

My 'photography' doesn't do this watch any justice, it's a keeper apart from the mall installed crystal, which will be remedied pronto.

Nice One, Mark!

Indeed... looks VERY similar to the Ambassador "A" dial, or vice < > versa... (Good' eye, Stephen :-)

And therefore as the President and Ambassador "B" models are the same general dial design... I'd wager that the same holds true, for the "A" models???

And being "21J" from this era... it has to be a President, Royalty, etc. namesake, as par!

I have several crystals in stock, if anyone ever needs one+???

BEST :-)

William

Beautiful dial and it looks like it'll clean up well.

Fifth, I note that you still have this was ID'd as unknown. Is that because we have no supporting evidence at the moment?

admin,

This Watch is not a 1940 'PRESIDENT' as first believed, ads in the database support this conclusion.

The Case does resemble the similar mid/late 1930's 'PRESIDENT' and 'MINUTE MAN' but is not identical, after comparing the Two side by side there are dimensional and lug variations. It also differs slightly from the similar 'LINCOLN' of the same era but is not a match.

I have relegated the model identification to 'UNKNOWN' pending further research to be presented at a later time.

*as an added note there are Two 17 Jeweled similar 'UNKNOWNS' in the database - time and effort will reveal to Us which model this is.

respectfully.
