Based on the information offered on this site I believe it's a 1941 American Eagle with original strap. It's not in pristine condition but works, not sure if I should clean it up. No idea of history but it appears original. Unfortunately the strap is incredibly small so I can't wear it. How feasible is it to find a similar strap and add links? although not the most masculine look, it was what made me want it.

I thought the strap looked more like the F.

Agreed with a 1941 Bulova American Eagle 'F'. A well loved watch and looks like it served its owner well for year.

Hello Johnnyweber, welcome to myBulova, this is a nice watch. I'm one of the lucky ones, my wrist is small enough that many of these old bands and bracelets will fit me. I don't blame you for wanting to wear this one, it's good looking. I see no reason why a competent jeweler couldn't add links but you have a challenge ahead of you to find a donor.

Oh, I also agree with the an American Eagle F ID, thanks for sharing it.

I don't agree with the 'F' variant for this watch; it needs to have an engraved case to be the 'F'. I did not find an exact match of all of the compnents on this watch, so I am at American Eagle no variant

Ahh good pickup, I missed that. In that case the Bulova American Eagle 'C' is the closest, having the same case style with a slightly different band, which may have been optioned.

I'm going to suggest we skip adding a variant to this beauty as the bracelet may determine variant on this model.
