Dial looks to be late 40's from probably the His Excellency line, while the case is '41. The number font wasn't used that early.

Not origional to the case but a decent fit.

It's a fair call to say the dial is not original to the watch and as such whilst generally one could say its a President model, the dial would need to be corrected for the watch to be marked as such.

Still it's a great look.

Non-conorming or a 1 tick President.

I do have a copper/brownish dial i believe to be a president,  I will have to research before i change it though.

I put the copper dial in it on a non functioning movement before I touch the good one with the wrong dial.  However I am still not sure if this one is correct.   I have seen a couple (Geoff's) and can not make out whether it is numbered or not at the sub second dial.

Bulova Advertising often in Catalogs featured Bulova Artist impression rather than actual Photos or Lithographics. Therefore to show off the dials,  Hands are regulary Black such as Radium Hands used on earlier models. Gold Hands were the norm for the actual watches. I would leave the hands alone. Beautiful display, congrats!
