Sorry admin but I'd say not even close. Sponsor has hooded lugs, subject watch has tang lugs.

Nice call, Admin. Looks like the Sponsor to me, too.

I don't know about Sponsor.  The Sponsor looks a little longer on the long side of the rectangle.  Could be camera angle, but the more-or-less straight on shot of case back also looks a little shorter in the long run.  Dimensions of both would help....but we don't have a Sponsor in DB to date.

I have 2 at the moment, If I recall both have a 7AP movement. I'll add pictures or post later.

I agree Will, definitely  different case. The lugs on the subject watch appear to be inboard of the case as opposed to inline with the outside of the case in the ad. Also, the ends of the case are different. The style of dial appears to be a match though.

The 'Dot Dash' Dial, as Bulova referred to this style as, has been seen in several Models now from 1940 thru 1948(?), the 'PRESIDENT' and 'CONRAD' being 2 shown in ads and has no basis for an ID.

Nice piece, the first of this Case design I have seen.

'UNKNOWN'

Agree with all, which is why I said it comes close.

Unknown for now.
