Some things that crossed my mind:

- I am thinking about a dial restoration, as you can see the dial is quite worn (numbers around the second hand have faded, some black spots at the top and the bottom of the dial). Any experience with that?

- Did Bulova use signed crowns in this period? This one is unsigned, might be a standard universal crown?

- What kind of straps were used with watches like this one originally? Think I saw some advertisements with either gold or brown leather straps. Did Bulova use signed buckles?

At any rate, I like the design of the watch quite a lot and since the movement of the watch has been serviced, it runs with precision. It has proven a fine addition to my watch collection.

Hello coen_maas, welcome to myBulova. Dial restoration is common. Any watchmaker will be familiar with a company that can do it. International Dial is that one I use. Straps and bands are always best researched in the advert section. I don't think Bulova used signed buckles during this era. Regarding signed crowns I think it would be, perhaps researching other watches like yours in the dB will help.

Arnold is my ID choice for this watch.
