Watch Description

This watch was a present to my grandfather and passed to my father and then to me. The symbol on the 7AK movement is a square. The case is solid 14k yellow gold. The band is a 14k yellow solid gold Kreisler. It still runs but loses time after 6 hours. Needs a good cleaning.

This 1946 Advert would suggest it is the Craftsman, not Tuxedo...agree?  Dial, case, movement all match.

The Tuxedo had the seconds bit highlighted in a darker color where the Craftsman did not.  Think that its a Tuxedo.

Yes, the Dial is the variant.

Tuxedo.

That and the solid 14K gold braclet gives it a perfect match. Lovely watch!

Spot on, well done. Never come across a solid gold craftsman/tuxedo, same case different dial/band is the only difference I guess?

GJ,

Yes, seems to be a trend in similar cased models.

I have this same watch.  Also from my grandfather who originally bought it in 1946. 14k with original band, movement etc.  I just took it in and had it cleaned and it runs beautifully.  But, alas I am in need of money and I think that I might list it for sale.  Any idea what I should ask for it?
