Watch Description

1946 Bulova Arnold

10K yellow RGP case with decorative engravings from top to bottom lug on each side of bezel; stainless caseback; dial has gilt hands and markers and appears to be an older re-dial (tell-tale notch at the 3 position, and the seconds track includes numbers - not seen in the ads); 15-jewel 10BM movement; replacement leather band. The Roman numerals etched inside the case look to match the last three of the serial number 997 ( /Λ  /Λ  V// ) - guessing that is what was used for 9 instead of IX?

You've got a beautiful "Arnold" Andersok. It looks like it's been well taken care of.

A beauty.  Interesting about the 997 ( /Λ  /Λ  V// ) -and I agree that must be  what was used for 9 instead of IX for this, and probably other examples.   Where were they etched inside the case?  Inside case back?
Great Arnold and great pictures too!

They are etched inside the bezel, opposite the crown side in this watch, but I have seen them in other areas inside the bezel.
