 Fifth, can you confirm that this is the same case as the statesman but just a different dial. I see so many of these cases with different model names.. I see yours is the director but the other in the advert (statesman) does have the same case yes?....... and later the 'Excellency SS'.....

Gary, I can only add to the confusion.

There is a later 1940's catalouge ad that mentions this Case as having bright finish lugs - I can confirm this detail with the Watch shown, the lugs have a subtly brighter finish than the main body which appears to have a 'brassy' finish.

Wether or not all of these cases share this detail is unclear to Me.

I think this Case in solid 14k has been ID'd as a different model (?)
