Movement is 8AE.
Actually, I thought it was 1950 because of the date range given for the 8AE movement. I actually have the matching adjustable basket weave braclet, but I changed it to a leather band because the basket weave braclet was too short for my wrist. I could put it back on and photograph it, and post it. The braclet is plated and the gold plating is worn off in some places. Thanks for helping me identify this watch.
Someone commented that the square stamped on the movement indicates it's 1946...so i think that we should change the date. Not sure how to do that.
When I added the watch, it asked for a date and I had to guess. It would be better if that could be left blank, so that the commitee can fill in the proper date and model. I don't think that I was able to post it with out entering a date.
I'm amazed that a watch this old has very little visible wear. Hardly any scratches on the case. The previous or original owner probably didn't wear the watch very much. I often wonder who owned these watches. I have a couple of 100+ year old Waltham pocket watches that also look new.
