Been wearing this watch for 2 days and it keeps excellent time. Maybe have this dial redone what ya think?

Looks like the very same case Will. I got that watch out and compared them same same only difference i can see is  the dial and the rose gold color on this watch vs, yellow gold on my Douglas B.

Why?

It's the original colour, hardly patinated either.

Lisa has one:/album/a1946-douglas1/a1946-douglas-2-1-jpg/

Yours is the only other, so don't ruin it with a redial as it will never be the same again.

I'm confused between Engineer and Douglas for 1946.   If we disregard Geoff's Solid Gold 17jeweler, all other contemporary Douglas in database have 21 jewels (as the Douglas ads indicate).

Bobbee posted the newspaper ads for 21j Engineer, but below are some ads for Douglas from same time period.

by 1946 we see Douglas Model variant is "A" for red gold, "B" yellow gold.

Jim  The dial is beautiful the way it is!!!
