Watch Description

Here's a 1946 post WWII Bulova Military that I've not seen often. Maybe a few over the past 10 years.  Case back is marked ORD. DEPT, USA, OF 363349, BULOVA WATCH CO. I believe the dial was refinished at some point in time as I found an ID # scratched in on the back. Hands appear original and the crystal has been replaced. Mark, any idea's on a model ID?

Hi Mark,

I have to agree with you on the dial. It had to have been altered at the request of whom ever had it refinished. I've been looking around and all I've found match the pic you've shown above.

JP is looking for NOS hands for me and I'll find a dial or have IDC take care of it for me. definately going back to original.

probably going with the black dial as the other half wants a black dial military for every day knocking about but I'll do the white if I get the A17A running.

Does anyone have a mainspring for a 10BNCH movement?

So what say everyone? Generic Military Issue?

I guess I'm confused. As I read through the thread it appears we come to non-conforming don't we? The case is certainly mil-spec but neither the dial or the hands are correct are they?

Hi All, I'd say we leave this one as unknown till I restore it to oiginal. It is Militay, non conforming for now but will be fully restored.
