Watch Description

This watch was given to my by my grandfather who was a jeweler. Its very hard to read some of the details or look for any stampting  even under  power, though I can make out a triangle in one spot though it appears there is something within the triangle. What I believe to be the serial number (6069924) on the case back is barely visible and I see no lettering. This serial number is also upside down in relation to the 14K GOLD FILLED BULOVA at the top of the caseback. I would greatly appreciate any assistance possible in identifying  it.

 Thank you

Hello Christofurky, welcome to myBulova. Fortunate is one I think, with family heirlooms. The serial inverted is not a problem for your watch, it is normal. I think the watch is 1946 and agree with jabs that he case appears to be a President.

My fellow panel members, we have ID a watch with this dial ( but copper color) as a President and I think we should do the same with this one.

President.

I'm good with President.  Great you have a family heriloom!

I would go with President, unknown variant though I think the dial has been swapped at some point in time.

Thanks you very much to everyone for the help; looking around now it does seem to match other President watches but how would the dial be able to be swapped and with what other model could it be? The piece is currently not working; winds but doesnt tick. Is there anoyone reputable in the NYC are that restores these pieces that anyone might know of? Also for insurance purposes what would one estimate this might be worth? Thanks again!

We don't give prices on here.  Pretty much ever.  It's worth whatever someone will pay for it.  Best place to see would be to go on the ebay and see what several someones paid for something similar in the same condition.

I'm okay with President unknown variant.  We've seen the huge sheet full of different dials for the 7AK.  I think you could just pick the color you wanted when you ordered if you were going custom.
