This was a great restore that came out looking like the fantastic vintage piece it was meant to be after such a long time of neglect. I included one before picture to show the state outside to show what it was before and what it came to be. It now runs beautifully and looks great and other than the brand new band is completely original. Pieces like this are why I love doing this.

I have the feeling this is the Medico. The description in this new ad matches, 17 jewels, sweep hand, luminous dial, natural gold colour. I know the picture is off, but so are the other two ads for the Medico, they show a sub-sec. dial and a sweep hand. 1945 ad.

I would have to go with the Medico with sweep hand.

I'm inclined to say Medico also.

Hi Guys,

I'm new to your forum after I got the Bulova bug during a PAM 6152 vintage build that had a Bulova 16AB transplant.  Cruising eBay today I happened upon this 'unknown' piece in serious need of a makeover.  It's the first one I've done and have already found your forums incredibly helpful.

Congrats on a great restoration on your '46 Bulova model 'unknown" :) ... I only hope I can bring my patient back to life as well as you have.

Stats on mine are:  One inoperative but complete and original 1946 Bulova 10BAC, 17J w/ 1945 triangle stamp but the serial number on outer caseback is 6615510 making it a '46 from what I can tell. Pics attached...

It'll be 2-3 weeks to arrive from the USA to me in Australia but I'm looking forward to getting involved and hopefully contributing on mybulova!

Cheers,

Rosscoe

Rosscoe, if you can add these photos to your new watch record, that way we can keep all your information in one place to help you with the ID. Although your watch looks very much similar to this one.

Thanks

I'm sending a PM to the panel to reopen this record based on JCEagle's suggestion as a possible ID as Practitioner.

I'm proposing that JCEagle is on to something and that this is a Practitioner

Advert is 1943, here's is the full page
