Lord Springfield filed 7 June 1947 and registered 27 September 1949. Fits the timeframe.

Good pickup of an old record.

I concur. But who the blazes was Lord Springfield?

Hmm, did the Lord Springfield have swivel lugs like the Beau Brummel? The subject watch appears to have the swivel lugs. The Lord Springfield ads appear to show fixed straight lugs. Both are 17j solid gold  with diamond dials and $195. A humdinger.

Great pickup, they both look to be the exact same watch. Timing of release may have seen a name change or is the name regional based. I'm sure I saw something te other day of Lord and Lady Springfield. Now if only I could find it again.
