Great watch - love the diamond dials, but I don't think it's a Tuxedo due to it being plated. Tuxedos were solid gold.   Dial may or may not be original. Jewelers liked to add diamonds for personal customizations/ upgrades. Not knowing if  Ambassadors came in rose gold color, I am leaning towards an Ambassador with modified dial. Right around this year, this model Ambassador changed to the His Excellency. As of right now it's an unknown for me . Still looking.

Black dial version with diamonds at 3, 9 & 12.

Advert dates to 1947. Dial will be original as we have other similar models advertised with these diamonds. See Bulova Director example in bottom left corner.

Excellent ad catch Stephen. Still an Unknown though.

A lot of the AD's say 14 Kt gold, with this style face used on several model types. how do you know which models were filled, solid, plated and the prices also vary from $62.50 to $225.00?

If an advert states '14kt gold' then it would be 14kt solid gold. Gold filled and plate normally state it in the adverts, usually as 10kt RGP or something similar. Anything listed simply will gold translate to solid gold.

The subject watch won't be a match for any advert stating just gold.

Also,  for clarity; if the ad states "yellow" or "white" instead of  "14 kt gold", it's going to be a plated (RGP or GF) watch. Rolled gold plate or gold filled equates to plated. The difference is the thickness of the gold over the base metal.

I'm going with Unknown too. Nice looking watch.
