Mark dig a little further and you'll find an advert showing that the yellow gold is the "SS" and the red gold is the "TT"

Agree, His Excellency "TT" , serial indicates 1947 unless the back is stamped...can't make it out.

watch owner states (48) on movement.  I'm good with 1948 His Excellency TT.  I didn't go look for the ads showing the SS is yellow and TT is red gold case, but  I kinda remember they are there somewhere.... I also remember several model variants are distinguished by the different case gold colors....but ain't a gonna go looking for exact examples now....
The Bulova model price lists give several examples over the years for which we have these documents.
