A good match for the advert but it also resembles the President. I think the hands are different though. Anyone find an advert for the President matching the subject watch?

I also hesitated between HE and President and hands just convinced me

while the President's hands in Modern style HE is in style Fils

This is in accordance with the attached advert

Hmmm, here's an ad, same year, unfortunately also low res that calls it the President. It looks to also have fils hands.

I'm rather inclined to stay with the His Ex EE on this one for the reason that late 1940's there are virtually no Presidents advertised but lots of Excellencies. I think it's more likely His Ex.

Yes I'm good with His Excellency  EE.  Jabs...does your watch say 14 k on the back?  That's usually Rose Gold, but this looks like yellow gold and yellow gold dial colors.

I based in the identification of the plainsmen post http://www.mybulova.com/comment/reply/5054/32381

I also compared the shape of the numerals and hands and I came to the conclusion that this watch are more similar to the watch shown on the advert HE "EE"  compared to watch President in our database for the same year
