What do you guys think of this one? I think it's a "His Excellency" but I haven't found an ad saying that. I found an "Academy Award" with what looked like the same case but it had a four quadrant painted dial. I'm fairly sure this one is all original.

That's it Jabs! Thank you. I thought I had saw an ad for it before, but when I tried to find it again all I came up with was the "Academy Award."

What a great looking watch Merc, the bracelet shoots it right over the top. Love it!

I'm pretty sure that this one is an His Excellency. The advert for the LL however states it has a stainless back, I don't think the subject watch does.

Thank you Geoff. The back on this one is gold filled.

edit: Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a Bulova with a gold filled bezel and a stainless back.

Man, that is CRISP!
That is probably the nicest vintage bracelet I've ever seen, is there a maker's mark on it?

HE, and as noted, the back for the LL is stainless. There are many Bulovas with GF bezels and stainless backs, I'm looking at my own Minuteman right now.

Thank you Rev. The bracelet has "Kreisler Quality" & USA on the buckle. I don't see any markings for gold content. Which year "Minute Man" do you have like that? I just looked at a 43 rose gold one I have and it has 14k rgp/stainless back on the inside of the case back.

Looks like HE LL sans stainless back.  Plains has a 1949 w/ gold filled back here.
