I took a pic of the back but it's a little blurry - sorry, good camera isn't so good anymore. On the back is the case serial no. on one end; on the other end simply 10K Gold Filled and under that "Bulova." Watch stem stamped Bulova. SWISS under the 6 on the dial. Two diamonds. lovely beading and such, as you can see. It's a pretty little watch. Ran just fine for a few days, tho didn't feel right upon winding, and I'll be taking it to a jeweler today (taking some time off work to do that). I will ask him for movement details. I do not know if he's a watch specialist. I did put 1948 as year but that is a guess. It could be 1938. I really do not know. DIANA
You have a very lovely ladies Bulova Writerdianalee. I've spent around 5 hours searching ads and I haven't come up with anything yet. I'm trying to visualize it now without the bell shaped diamond mounts. I have seen these added to watches later and not originating from the factory. Is the little tear drop shaped part where the band attaches part of the band or the watch case?
It is part of the watch case. And thank you for your kind words. :) I shopped a long time before I bought. This is the closest one I could find to it "out there," but this one has a lot more bling! http://www.ebay.com/itm/1948-Lds-14k-Gold-Bulova-17-Jewel-5AC-Diamond-W…
That one does have Bling dripping off of it. I've got a 1956 with a little bling. You can see it here: http://www.collectorsquest.com/collectible/119852/1956-14k-gold-bulova
Hi Diana - welcome to myBulova. Sounds like an exciting start to the week for you, learning all about the wonderful world of vintage Bulovas. My caution - you're treading around the edges of the dangerously addictive world of watch collecting.

I haven't come across a match to your lovely little watch yet either but continue to look too. For now I ID it as "Uknown"
