I sure like it.  Unfortunately you just don't find craftsmanship like that much anymore.

Great watch nolat3   They sure don't make 'em like that any more.  Can you post what is stamped on the inside of the case back (your third picture above) and what is stamped on the outside case back on the bottom of your forth picture above (opposite end of the case serial number) please and thanks.  Sure matches the spanish ad from 1950!

On the opposite end from the case serial number it has Bulova with A9 underneath.  The last 3 pictures were taken by the guy I bought the watch from .   Unfortunately  I can't read or tell you what it says in there either.  I wish I could.  This is my first vintage watch so I am a real novice at all this.  I don't know anything about opening up the back.  It doesn't look difficult but my concern is getting it closed back right.  Initially I had a slight problem with the watch and had to send it back for repair.   Got  it back and it's running great now and don't want to tempt fate.  Especially since I really don't know what I'm doing.  I hope you understand.  The first time I have it serviced I'll certainly find out and post it.

Thanks for the outside case back info.  Completly understand not wanting to mess w/ it if it's just been repaired.

1950 Spanish ad snippet of Shoreham.  I've seen this model spelled Shorham, but don't remember where....and don't know which is a typo.  Our only ad (below) has the model name added w/ type for enhancement.

EDIT added 2012.11.21  We also have two more ads for Shoreham now. One from 1950, and the one below from December 1949.
