Watch Description

I thought I had seen this one before, but I can't seem to locate it. The Lugs look like those on the 1942 "ENGINEER"

GS Crystal CMT360-11 is a perfect fit. It is a BULOVA Crystal, but here is no name designation on the package.

It's helpful in that it provides further verification that "Newton" is the only name we see specifically referenced for that crystal in the catalogs.

Here is the 1941 ad showing this as a possible match to the Newton model.

Subject watch is likely a 1941 model with non-original movement from '49

There's a bit of a time difference between subject watch movement and this ad from 1941 that Ken found, however the watch seems to be a match; noting movement swap. Case s/n suggests it's a 1941 (same as ad) with a 1949 movement.

Bulova Newton

Do we christen this a 1941 noting movement swap or stick with the date on the movement?

My vote is 1941 Bulova Newton

Good enough for me. The case is very distinctive and nothing like any other model we are aware of.

Good to see a new model!

Bulova Newton it is for me.
