1950 Elissa. There is not an example of this exact watch on your site, so I would like to submit mine. It is my 2015 Valentine's Day present and it still works, but is about 4 minutes fast. I would like to know more about it.

Welcome Lady Dairhean, to myBulova. It's a beautiful gift you've received. I believe Alan got it right on the ad match, I would say she's a 1950 Elissa. Wear her well and be kind to her, have her serviced if she hasn't been cleaned and oiled lately.

The patent filing date for the band is April 4, 1941

I'm still good with Elisa ID.

Thank you all very much. Now I have a few newbie questions. What does "unadjusted" mean? What stones are used for the movement? They look like pink tourmaline. How do these jewels effect watch movement?

The jewels are synthetic rubies Lady Dairhean. They are used for bearings to reduce the friction of the moving parts.  I'm going to have to wait and learn with you what "unadjusted" means because I don't know.

Lady Dairhean,

Thank you for posting your watch information.  It helped me to identify my wife's watch which was gifted to her from her grandmother.  You can see her Elissa here!  Again, thanks for posting and for the other panel members for being so smart.  :)
