Watch Description

Just a nice little pocket watch,  17'''. I did get a replacement hour hand, (Thanks, Shawn!) and the watch is running well after a full service. Not sure on the date, maybe late 40's or 1950?

Old habits die hard, Im sure many people saw a nice pocket watch as a status symbol well past the '50's

Reverend Bob, does your watch have a SS back or is it plated? Is there a date code on the movement? Thanks

Darren

Hey Darren,

Sorry I missed the question, there is no date code on the movt, and the caseback is GF like the rest of the case, not SS.

Bob, I just looked at Jim Townsend's '49 Unknown pocketwatch and noticed that his 17AH is dated just to the right of the "15" of the 15 Jewels mark. After magnifying your pic there appears to be a triangle, '45, which is consistant with the '46 case serial #.
