Thanks to OldTicker, this is being corrected to a "Coed".
The second ad from 1954 shows one that looks virtually identical to this one.
On the movement itself, just below the word Swiss, is what looks like L1, which would be 1951.
And, thanks to William Smith, what I thought to be a box and the letters MX, actually is BXW, an import code. I was looking at it upside down. . .

Good catch on a 6 year old thread, Kathy. I agree with Rob on the lug difference as compared to the Diana in ad, close but no cigar. May be a artist interpretation, may be a slight variance over the time period from 1949 (ad) to 1952 (watch) but maybe not as well. Flat as opposed to rounded transition to crystal edge. I also agree that per the ads referenced from the relevant years time frame that it's not a CoEd. CoEd shows more angular surfaces on lugs.
Pending further ad research, I have to vote this one back to "not confirmed" or unknown.

I was looking through all the Co Ed and Janet ads and watches because I am getting one and found this one. Wasn't sure if the panel wants to revisit IDs as new ads or info comes up or not but thought I would comment. It is not a Co Ed for me and doesn't match Diana close enough on the lugs so I think I would vote for a change to Unknown.
