Watch Description

This has case marked inside "Bulova 10K rolled gold plate bezel Stainless back New York", outside "Bulova L2" Movement markings "10BT Bulova Watch Co Swiss 17 Seventeen Jewels L2 unadjusted BXW" all but BXW in gold Everything seems to point to this being a 1952 Senator but I question some issues with the face. Watch had half of a rotted leather watch band on it when I bought it for $1. I replaced it with the one shown. I believe this originally would have had a metallic band? It looks generally correct except for the absence of the "Swiss" mark at the bottom of the dial and the box outline around the second hand dial, also the second hand appears different than other examples I've seen here. Two tiny dents in the face of the movement around the second hand look like a watchmaker slipped replacing the second hand? Runs like a charm. If anyone has any insight into this, I would greatly appreciate your thoughts.

Welcome to myBulova Californialife, your watch is really 1952 Senator, similar as Andersok watch

Agree with 1952 Senator.

Dial does show some differences like you mention - absence of the SWISS, and the track around the seconds markers should not be there, and the seconds hand is not correct. Would have come with the band shown in the ad.

Hello Californialife, welcome to myBulova. This is a very nice old watch. I agree that it's most likely a Senator model. I guess the dial differences are probably an older re-dial.
