1953 10bm 21j Movement. Nice design.
I finally found where I saw this watch labeled a "Tank". It was right here in our database.
So, contrary to what was asserted above, there does appear to be a model called the "Tank" (else why would it be in the model dropdown list, right?).
Moreover, this very model has been ID'd under that name. Given the ad for the Delegate, that ID would appear to be incorrect.
Ha! I knew I didn't just imagine that Tank ID!
Just want to re-open a debate on this one. The advert says the Delegate has a stainless back. I have had models with both stainless back and RGP back such as another I have here at present. Think it's old news having seen it discussed elsewhere but I have just found that the model with the rgp back is called the "Statesman" in 1954 too (as found in the 1954 adverts section (6th image).

'STATESMAN' ad is Dated later in the 1950's - 1957 if I recollect?
The descriptive text in the 'DELEGATE' ad states 'Stainless Steel Back' and is Dated closer to the production Date of the Watch.
'DELEGATE'
** edit: In double checking the ad for the 'DELEGATE' states the expansion band has a Stainless back, not the Watch itself ?
