This came from ebay. Black face. Case 37mm X 21mm less crown approx., not counting lugs in width.10k gold filled with much wear on back. Speidel band, calf skin, W. Germany

HMMM... It's somewhat similar (uncommon veritical bezel detail) to the 1949+ "LL" Excellency model... Too bad there's such SCANT ad copy, from 1953- 58ish, from Bulova!  Hereafter's the "LL" model:

Dial refinish in Black?

One would think the Excellency would have went with a Gold signature and Gold track on Black if original.

this is from the exellency collection and shows gold numbers and markers with white printing for the bulova name and the seconds dial

Im seeing the difference between the subject watch lugs (bottom) and the 1950 ad below.  I'll go look for the text that accompanies this ad graphic.
