"Expanding bracelet" in the ad, and the variant is for the watch, not the band.

A lot better match than some watches.

I would agree with Bob, Bulova 23 "E", and if it had a White dial with this case it would be known as the "F".

The above ad is a great example of where dial determines the letter variant, not the band.

The ad is not showing all of the variants of this Watch therefore is not a sound basis of fact as there were literally hundreds of "23" variants.

Once again, a variant is found to match a watch only to be blindly denied because of a strap! Beggars belief.

Once again, You fail to understand a strap can, will and does make a difference when naming a Model variant.

as does a Case colour and a Dial Colour.

Bulova "23" - 3 ticks.

Not with every variant, as has been shown time and time again. I do not fail to understand, I can and do make a distinction, I do not not go blindly on my way, making statements that cannot be backed up by fact, not just in this instant but in many, ruining any validity that I may have.

Bulova 23, three ticks. Bulova 23 "E", three ticks.

EDIT:- Your  ad snippet above proves nothing without the variant letter, ansd could just be a reference no. for the jeweler for the different bands he could put on a watch, and gives the prospective buyer an idea of cost.

I have this 23 E and I think the expansion band on subject watch is original to the watch. Mine has the same band.

Bulova 23 E for me.

I'd  be good with an "E" variant.  While the bracelet may be part of the ID, I don't think we are seeing this combination offered on leather?
