I have a Bulova watch I wear every day and was made in 1954 (L4) on back. It is a mystery dial type, 14k case, not rolled gold, 30 jewel, self winding with six (6) diamonds on the face. The enclosed pictures are of it. I cannot find anything on this baby and would love to know the actual name "model-style of it. Please help me on this if you can. It is just a great old watch. Thank you so much,
Tom

The movement may be a 10 BPA, or the 10 BPAC , as they are in Bidfun archive as starting in 1955 and were automatics and came with 23 OR 30 jewels, and could possibly be even earlier as Ranfft have been known to be wrong about dates before.
Well, you did say to correct you if you were wrong! :^D

From the Bulova timeline:
1954 Bulova introduces the 'Bulova 23,' a self winding, waterproof, 23 Jewel automatic with an unbreakable mainspring made entirely in the United States.
No mention of a 30 Jewel variety and the first ad on site for the 'Bulova 30' appears in 1960.
