I have a gold-tone men's Bulova. It is self-winding, 23 jewels, six adjustments. The face does not have numerals and there is a sort of starburst design over the entire face. Has a second hand. Stainless steel back, shock resistant, water proof and anti-magnetic. It has a nice Speidel gold tone stretch band. The watch belonged to my mom's cousin and I don't know anything else about it. It is not running and the repair quote I recently got was for $300. It's a handsome watch, but I'm thinking that the repair bill is more than it is worth.
Cindy 300.00 seems high for a mechanical restoration to me. I had a much older watch mechanically restored for 140.00 dollars. It was in a lot worse shape than yours. Take it to a good watch maker rather than a jewler. Eliminating the middle man may save you some money.
