Sure looks like a Craftsman to me. It might be a redial though.

There are many examples of a black dial if you google images for Bulova Craftsman. Under a loop it does not appear to be redialed.

Your dial looks similar to mine, which I don't think is a redial either.  I believe JP may have made his observation based partly on your movement picture, where it looks like some black paint is lapping around to the back side of the dial.  My example also has some black paint on the back side of dial, but that in itself may not mean its a redial.   You had watch in hand and checked w/ loope, so that's good enough for me.  I checked mine out pretty carefully too.

Yep, also looks like this 1958 model.  I thought we had a possible variant for these black dialed Craftsman, but I gotta look.

I could not have gone and gotten the price list snippets as easily without your spreadsheet.....and folks unfamiliar with your spreadsheet may not have seen how you arrived at above without seeing the snippets I pasted below.  :)  Teamwork

It's a Craftsman all right. This advert refers to the pictured watch as a Craftsman B but then goes on to say it's available in a black or white dial.

Best I think, to stay with no variant.
