Mark- that new front-on pic of your watch sure makes it look like a closer match. I think it was camera angle on the root level pic which made me question the lugs. They do look different in the side by side I posted. I always like a straight on front shot for seeing these details w/o distortion. Glad to see your having fun.... :) ...at least I didn't call it an Accutron...
After the nice front-on shot, this watch has gotta be a President. (well it might have been a tentative before the front on shot IMO- but I was too busy reading and comparing to vote then). Those lugs really looked a little different in my side-by-side. ....it's three check confirmed from me now!
Mark, Your ad posted with the pictures of the subject watch isn't even close to a match, the lugs, crown and case are completely different. The only thing going for it is the dial and that just dosen't cut it. Lisa's 1958 President ad is by far closer to a match but then it's dated 58, not 56. This very well could be a 56 President but you'll need a ad dated 1956 to prove it. It could have a different name in 1956.
Shawn,
A Second database ad also Dated 1956 shows the 'PRESIDENT' variants "F" and "G"

From this one would conclude the "C" variant, as shown in the ad Dated 1958, was also available in 1956.
* or, is the ad in fact showing the "C" variant?
