The 'ACCUTRON' series 214 was first introduced to the public in Nov 1960. There were a total of 12 Models originally released.

Thanks for the post of the ad. I thought I had seen this one before but could not find it in my search. As to date of introduction, both October and November is listed as the 'official' launch for the Accutron. I suppose a week one way or the other is not a great issue. What is remarkable is these MO's are now 52 years old and still fa scinate us more than a half century later.

Yes, and the subject Watch is a wonderful example.

The 214 is rumoured to have had Military use since 1958.

Love the original crown and battery hatch spring along with the coin-edged dial that makes this model Accutron look smaller than other 214 models. Yeah, I've seen both October and November referenced.
