Watch Description

I found this on ebay for next to nothing. I love the dial on it. The case is larger than my other model 23s, and I haven't figured out how to open it. It appears that the front opens rather than the back. I'm guessing its a 10BPAC movement, but since I cant open it I'm not sure. It keeps great time, gaining perhaps 1 minute in 48 hrs. Very light wear on the case with very fine scratches in the crystal (the crystal might as well be perfect.) I've looked all over the internet for another watch with this same face, but I haven't found one. The case is stainless steel. The hands still glow in the dark as well. The case is marked M0.

This case was used in the Bulova 23 and the Regatta 23 models, but I don't see a match to the dial in our ads. I'm not yet sure which of those two models this could be.

Also, to open the case requires removing the 2-piece stem, removing the bezel ring and then the crystal, and the movement will exit from the top. Perhaps something best left to a professional to do, unless you've done this before.

I like this one a lot. This was a great era for Bulova. Late 50's there were 23's and His Excellencies that were very similar. I don't see anything that matches this dial and case combo under either name.

I'd suggest this as a Bulova 23 but would be tentative on it.

I spent hours looking through the possible ads on the site. I didn't find anything with the exact dial, but yes I agree that it looks like a possible Regata case.

How does one remove the stem? This thing works so nicely that I don't want to mess with it, but I'd love to find out what is inside. Removing the bezel ring looks like it requires a specific tool.

Of my 5 Bulovas, this is my favorite. I think I paid $15 for it.
