Watch Description

Love this watch. Have owned 3 in the past but can still find no definitive advert for a model name.

Nice watch.  Any chance of movement and case back/inside case back picture?  There has been discussion on case serial numbers which begin with a letter, and these pictures will help address this discussion. Perhaps case serial numbers which begin with a letter during this time period are indicative of foreign production or production for foreign market.  If it's a Bulova USA that's one thing.  If it's a swiss movement, there may be more info which indicates it may have never entered the USA, but gone directly to country of original sale.  The Swiss to USA import code BXW may not be on the movement in this scenario.  Thanks

Photos added. Does have the BXW code and swiss markings. The case serial number is listed in the information above. All three I have owned have been purchased from the USA which is indicative that it was on offer there.

I thought We'd ID'd this one as the 'AMBASSADOR' or 'SENATOR'?

I'm not seeing it in the database under either name, although I'm sure it was there at one time.  As I recall, the ID was just sort of a guess based on general styling.  We don't have an ad for it.   I have not been able to come up with any leads from the crystal specs.

I believe it was a tentative Ambassador based on crystal specs, and package label. I think I have that watch here in process but I'll have to look and see. If I do, all I need is to find the crystal that fits.

Senator "H". 1956 ad.

...aha...finally.  Bobbee is that the best ad? I think it is, and I'm good w/ Senator "H" based on unique case shape- ads only 3-4 years before subject watch.

Self Winder "H"   Did i really miss something?

EDIT:  Changed to Senator "H".  The Self-Winder entry was above it in the drop down.  Just a mis-entry as such.
