No history is available for this watch. A similar watch with Bulova in the centre of the back and marked Automatic in the border rather than Selfwinding is listed on your web site. The dial is as pictured; multi-toned with shading. The stem is missing but the selfwind function works fine and the watch runs when shook. If someone can tell me how to remove the back without damaging the watch I will take additional pictures. Based on your picture gallary I believe this is a Clipper from the late '50's or early '60's. I appreciate any assistance you can provide in properly identifying this watch.

No, I doubt they did. By the 1960's Bulova had settled the price point opportunity with the introduction of Caravelle. UNLESS, and here's the juice......perhaps this WAS a price point watch, perhaps it WAS a early shot at the introduction of the Caravelle line.
