Got this from an antique store. I think the face was redialed manually and the hands were changed. i wanted to know the model so that i can get the face redialed properly to make it look presentable.
You've got some good leads. The date code on the case back, along w/ other info (waterproof). Those lugs may help. I'd check the ads from 1959 up to 1963, and I'd do a search of watches by year. Between the two of these, I bet you can narrow it down. If you can get the back off, then you can get the movement info. Assuming the movement is dated w/i a year of the case(M0;M1;M2), I'd use the mvnt info to help you narrow down your search. It's fun to give it a try. If you do get the watch open, a pic of the inside caseback, and movement are nice to post. The watch actually looks presentable as is, considering it's a little over 50 yrs old.
yes thanks for the leads. i bought it from an antique watch store. it was just the body and no strap, when i saw it wanted to buy it never really checked closely that it was redialed manually so "hand inked" i guess before i bought it. they opened it and showed me its an original bulova movement. didnt really checked the codes or numbers. thanks for the help ill be checking the ads thanks again
