Aberlow,

Is anything stamped inside the case back? Thanks.

Darren

....a different Case design suggests a different model, analytically speaking.

What is the Case diameter?

As in the square and round Date Kings? Or the different Banker designs of the 1960's? Or the different Ambassador designs of the 1960's?

   ???

Yeah that case back was the first I'd ever come across.  It's a snap/pressure fit BACK... weird.

It's in great shape though... I think Jet Clipper variant as well.

Currently out of town so will measure tomorrow, but similar to an old Heuer Monaco, the lugs and bezel are separate from the back case, crystal and movement. Once the movement is fitted, the crystal is pressed on, and the lugs and bezel snap on over it. If it helps the G-S crystal reference that fits like a glove is specifically for the Jet Clipper A and B.

Darren, I am not sure if there is anything stamped on the inside. My recollection is no, but i didnt pay too much attention.

Pretty sweet, super clean and I'd keep it original. Jet Clipper gets my vote.

"A" variant, the "B" would probably be the black dialled variant mentioned in the ads.

  Quack, quack.

I'm wondering if all the Jet Clipper "A" ads are from 1962?  The Fall 1961 model lists shows only Jet Clipper without variant designation.

The 11241 unique Bulova ID number from the Fall 1961 list shows up in the Spring 1964 lists as the "Jet Clipper".  The "A" is listed now too, along with several other variants.

Kinda looking like the Jet Clipper "A" was released post Fall 1961.
I'm good with "1962 Jet Clipper A" , but can't explain the differences in the fit of the case backs Mark points out.

The OP explained, it is a pop out watertite case, you push the case out of the bezel.
