Hi everyone, I will slowly add more of my quite extensive vintage Bulova from my collection to the "my watches" page. This is a 1962 (M2 on the case back and on the caliber) Diver that I love particularly, I believe it's the diver “Single crown compressor”, I found several on the web, sometimes is mentioned as the "Nautilus Skin Diver" ?.. could it be ? It uses a Caliber Bulova 11AFC (on the caliber there is export code BXW) the size is 36mm without the crown, 39mm with crown Height : 13mm Lug width 18mm Crown : Bulova marked marked "Swiss" at 6 o' clock Thanks in advance for your comments

Welcome Roby...we look forward to seeing your collection on MyBulova. As for this one it looks to be a Snorkel but I am not sure the bezel is original. The line book match shown shows a bezel with 15 minute intervals while yours in in 10 minutes. My instincts tell me it might have been lost and replaced with a non-Bulova bezel. I will continue to look for matches to a 10 minute bezel for the Snorkel. It should be noted we also have another one in the database from 1961 with your similar 10 min bezel and they mentioned it was not original to the watch. It seems the original bezel might have been a heavy plastic and subject to easy damage.

It could well be that the bezel was replaced over the years, it is known that on this model "the bezel on the single crown, made of acrylic, were quite fragile, very few have survived intact".
I have quite a few sales ads in my archive from the web, ebay and other sites, with this very watch (again called at times "Single crown compressor", or "Skind diver" a couple even called it "Nautilus"... most have 10 min intervals bezels, very few the 15 min, which makes me think that many have not survived intact, including this one
Very possible therefore. The dial, the back and the caliber have made it through the years very well.
Funny I have a 1968 Snorkel, see in "my watches" section, that has the "Snorkel" word on the dial, you guys have catalogued it as "Oceanographer G"
So I take it that this is the 1962 "Snorkel", Thanks again !

Great Bulova Divers watch. I really like these early divers. They were cool then and they are even cooler now.
You just can't beat an original divers watch
Original bezel ring for the 272 case is part number B125.
Movement is correct for this case.
