Watch Description

This is an interesting Bulova 23 Jewel 10KT white gold RGP watch.   it has a 10BZ movement with a M1 date code (there is a dot after the M1) with an M3 case.   Is it normal to have a post 1960 date code on a movement and then have it mismatch the case?   Frankenwatch?    It is 25mm x 34mm not including the crown.   I appreciate your opinions.

Interesting watch as the back case is dual stamped 'Star Watch Case Company' on the inside and "Bulova' on the outside.

I suspect the watch is original, I just need to look for a match.

Certainly looks like a good ad match to me. Brigadier - unknown variant.

Awesome!  You rock!  I wish the dial was in better condition but at least it is a very accurate runner.  I need to start adding more of my Bulova watch collection to this list. I have about 20 and am adding to it every month.

Hi JimDon,  I wouldn't worry about the perceived "2-3 year" difference between the movement and case, it is in all probability an original watch. Only 366 days  between December 31, 1961 and January 1, 1963 if you think about it. Not a long time for a movement to be stocked waiting to be cased.

I have a few "daily drivers" with flawed dials and heavily worn cases that are mechanically sound and keep accurate time. I consider them my "rat rods" and enjoy them the way they are. Please do keep adding more watches from your collection. Each and every contribution  adds to our collective knowledge and helps to preserve the Bulova legacy for collectors in the future!
