Watch Description

On the back of the watch at the top the word "BULOVA" directly under this is "10K GOLD FILLED" and under this is "M3" at the bottom of the back of the watch is N61819....on the face of the watch at the top the name BULOVA at the bottom of the face the number 23 which I assume is the jewel number...on the GUARANTEE CERTIFICATE it states the case number as X61819  .... do not understand why this differs from the number on the back of the watch...it states the watch was purchased on the 5th October 1943 in Auckland New Zealand...my wife stumbled upon it at an antique shop recently and as an owner of 12 Bulova watches she purchased it....my interest is not in selling the watch but more to it's history and if it is one to keep..it's condition would be best described as "new" no scratches or marks it's as if it was worn once and put away...any comments would be greatly appreciated...Col Wallis

Col, if you could add some more photos of your watch it would certain aid us in determining the exact model. I've also amended the year to 1963 as indicated by the M3. If the paperwork says 1943 then it would belong to a different watch as there would be no way to buy something 20 years before it was made.... Unless of course you had a time machine....

Hi Col Wallis, welcome to myBulova. A front on photo would really help to identify this beauty. It's quite likely that the case your watch came in is not original to it as the date code (M3) indicates that it's a 1963 model. I've scanned through our ads, nothing jumps out as a match, the photo could help match it.

12 Bulovas? Sounds like a clear case of Bulovitis to me.......Will we see photos of the rest of the collection too?

The box is 1950's/1960's, so the paperwork comes from elsewhere.

Nice looking watch.

Good job on the photos Colonel, much better. I think this is a wonderful little watch. I suspect it might be unworn, if not NOS (New Old Stock). Box and wrist band are most likely original, they fit the period perfectly. I still don't find an ad match. For now, until we can find a match I will have to go with and "Unknown" ID.

After going through all our adverts it's unknown for me as well. There are a few candidate models that share some common characteristic but nothing for certain.

 Lovely watch!

Forgot to post that I found no matches, but it sure is a beauty.

Unk.

This appears to be a 1962 Marquise "C" based on the 1965 Line Book DAWB010159-2 page 22.
