Just one more picture with the correct original 1960s 10K rolled Gold Bulova strap attatched, I picked this strap up as unused and original and now the watch is complete.  It is back to its former glory as when new in 1963 when worn by the Saint, Roger Moore in the tv series. Roger was a sharp dresser with the best tailors on saville row at his disposal and this wrist watch looks the part with any clothes you can throw at it.

The 10 bzac movement is an excellent time keeper on a par with my Omega Seamaster Professional and my Omega Constellation Chronometers for accurracy on and off the wrist.

Thanks I thought is was but I thought I would share it with this great website, it is the same model as the one worn by Roger moore in most 60s episodes of the Saint. I have just bought an awesome unused 60s Bulova rolled gold strap for it and will have it fitted this week.

Regatta 23. A real beauty too, love those pie pan dials.

Regatta 23 "G".  Nice one too!  Based on the ad Fifth posted above (some wording on other vairants in bottom right), is there a reason we are not ID'ing as a tentative Regatta 23 "G"?
Seems to match that variant.
Snippet for 1963 Regatta 23 "G" below- from Fifth's linked ad above- next to subject watch.

Agree. What do folks think about the "G" variant?

Case shape or band make it the "G"?

Thanks Guys, it is a beautiful watch and I had it serviced a couple of days ago its keeping perfect time and it can be wound up manually as well as being an automatic.  Sorry for  my ignorance on the subject but What does the "G" after Regatta mean?

Nothing really, just a variant. Bulova regularly made slight changes to certain models and gave them 'variant' designations. Theoretically the "G" is the seventh variation of the "Regatta" model. That doesn't mean we found all of the other six yet nor does it mean there aren't more. We also tend to bicker amongst ourselves as to whether or not the variants were simple changes like a leather strap instead of a metal band. In some cases the differences are dial color or style or case material (gold or stainless steel).

Thanks again for sharing you watch, it's a beauty.
