Ok first of all - Totally cool watch, very special, I love it! (which one of the two boys will inherit it, I wonder?)

Next Accutron 218 only I think, not sure if I want to call every Accutron with a date window a "Calendar".

Thank  you everyone this is so great. I love this watch. Like mentioned before it has 218D as indicated inside. Just looking for all the information I can find just to be able to say I own this.....watch.  Also for Insurance reasons. I know it is 18K and the entire band, which is hard to see in the photos and is custom made, is also totaly 18K gold!

It is not running, so I have taken it to a Bolova certified jewelry to clean it and get it working. I also mentioned to him that I need the correct 1.35 voltage battery.

I've added another model which may or may nit confuse things.

A generic Accutron Calendar for me based on the advert by OT.

This is what I recieved for a Statement of Value: Case Serical number is M5 (1965). It is round face with silver tone satin backgroun with gold numbers 12,6, and 9 with battons at the other positions. Case dimensions are 39MM lug to lug and 34 mm diameter not including crown. The case type is screw back with retainer ring and is 18k yellow gold. The watch band is woven link an is and after market band stamped 18K.  The watch movement is Bulova movement 218D, 13 jewels and date stamped M7 (1967). I love this watch!!!

Thanks to everyone for all your help!!!

It's a beauty...and I can ad the extra mvnt info to the root record for you.  We may want to consider the date of production based on movement being 1967?

Beautiful watch, I have a 1974 gold plated Accutron with the same dial.

I am well aware that the conventional wisdom says that 1965 was the first year for the 218 but I own a 1964 218. I can't seem to post pictures here but OliverB has seen pictures of it on another forum.

I have never seen evidence of solid gold Accutron with a metal bracelet that wasn't a part of the case except the Model C Astronaut.

Bulova didn't make their own solid gold cases,it would appear that they may have stockpiled them,  so it's not unusual for a solid gold case to contain a later dated movement. Oliver could expand on this point.
