Not neccessarily. When buying a watch, jewellers often offered the buyer a selection of bracelets to enhance/upgrade their watch.
The expansion band on your watch is very typical of this period and would be correct for your watch IMO.
1965 Bulova La Petite "C" looks correct.
Just a little information on the Speidel band.
Speidel introduced the Twist-o-Flex watch band for men's watches in 1959. It was considered lightyears ahead of any other watch band product on the market and quickly became a fashion statement of the time. Speidel introduced the ladies version of the Twist-o-Flex in 1961 and it was also a sales sensation.
I'm old and remember when the Twist-o-Flex first came out. I had to research the exact year. It didn't matter if you were wearing a Timex watch, if it didn't have a Twist-o-Flex band on it, you were behind the times.
