1967 Solid Gold Bulova Accutron

With Date box and luminecent hand with a second hand. Tuning fork symbols at 12 6 and 9, date at the 3 position. 18k.

You've got a great watch there, get it out of pawn or they will melt it! It's worth far more than the melt value to a serious collector.

You do need some work with your pictures but it just takes alot of trial and error  to get your camera set up just right, then you'll be set.

If you do not have the proper tool and don't know how to open the case, don't attempt it yourself. Doing so may cause damage to the case back and watch case which will result in decreased value to collectors. As far as value is concerned, I doubt it is worth "far more" than the melt down value. It is a nice watch with an interesting dial but don't expect those features to bump up value greatly over the value of the gold content.

I got it out of pawn today and have it in my hand. What do you think the melt down value is? I am hoping to get $2000 for it but would take $1200 right now, I need a car!!

18K Gold Case

I am not sure what to do about opening the back to get the movement markings...I guess the jewler can do it but I am so strapped just getting it out. I know my dad had it all that time so I am sure it matches.

Added a two new pictures and one of the watch band I am keeping : ) 

It is so hard to get good pictures, it is just so shiny. I am going to my friends tomorrow to try again.

  I have been buying mostly solid gold Accutrons lately and I hate to disappoint you but I'd  say that there is very little chance that you will get even close to $1200 for that watch.  I calculated the melt value of one a while back and, of course, it depends on the weight of hte case but I determined that melt value of a watch much like that one would be about $550 or so. It's worth more than that but not much more.

Well I found a reliable car for really cheap so I listed the watch on Ebay today. (not to cut you guys out! I love this site!) but the thing is...I am new on ebay so I can only sell $500 a month so I had to list it in auction starting at $500. If any of you are interested it may only get one bid?? and be a steal. It is only a 24 hour auction so it will be over by morning one way or another.....   hmmm
