Sorry for the fuzzy photo - it's nearly one a.m. in the morning here and the lighting is terrible! I'll take another bettter one in the morning as well as one with the back removed.

I hope that someone may be able to help me out with identifyng this model. It has a diamond at the 12 o'clock position and the second hand dial has fine rings radiating out from the centre. The dial itself has a matt sheen.

The movement is 11AL and the case number is J631347.

Thanks and cheers from Australia!

Sorry for not having replied earlier and taken some photos - been very unwell these past couple of days. I promise to put up better photos tomorrow!

I believe that it has a rolled gold finish - not sure the karat as I bought it a few years back

Numbers!

On the mechanism - Bulova Watch Co.  17 jewels, 11AL

unadjusted swiss, MXV- just below the time adjustment,

Engraved on the inside of the case (I thought they were scratches!) 'U3 jgc/092 CROWN',

' H6804B 5UNAY', '179CRY57L', and now I think I'm going blind!

I hope that this makes some sense and please take into account that I may have some of the letters/numbers wrong as this is the first time I've read watchmakers engravings.

Pictures up tomorrow, when the sun is up.

Thanks,

Mark.

Hi Wayne,

Thanks for that. We have been having terribly hot and humid weather here due a cyclone (hurricane for US) off the coast, but it seems to be sorting itself out now.

Are the numbers on the inside of the back cover of any use? They look to have been scratched with a scriber of some sort.

On the outside of the back cover is '10K RGP Bezel' and 'Stainless Steel Back'.

cheers,

Mark.

Mark

Now we know the movement is authentic- Bulova Watch Co. 17 jewels, 11AL

No Adjustments Swiss made MXV regulator type----\unadjusted swiss, MXV- just below the time adjustment,

It sounds likke these are watchmaker hand scribed marks from prior servicing No Help----Engraved on the inside of the case (I thought they were scratches!) 'U3 jgc/092 CROWN',

You should get your sight back---' H6804B 5UNAY', '179CRY57L', and now I think I'm going blind!

Is BULOVA FIFTH  AVENUE stamped on the inside back cover? Is ther a case serial number ?

If not it's an aftermarket jewlers case, not original to the watch.  Having never seen a Bulova dial like yours, I would suspect the dial is also aftermarket, jewlers special.

Any other opinions out there guys & girls?

Take Care Mate

Wayne

Hi Wayne,

On the outside of the case is stamped 'BULOVA M7, 10K RGP BEZEL, STAINLESS STEEL BACK'

and a case number is stamped below 'J631347'.

There are no stampings on the inside of the case - just the chicken scratchings you identified as servicing marks.

Thanks for all that help.

Be well.

Mark.
