Hello Albaroot, welcome to myBulova. This is a nice watch, thanks for sharing it. I've always been a fan of these late 60's early 70's watches. This one is difficult to ID as you already know. We just don't have much on adverts for this era. At this point I'm afraid I'd have to say Unknown.

I have seen this watch in an advert but don't remember where. I will search for it and post the info.

I had the exact same thought Stephen but I think Oceanographers were all 17 jewel, this beauty is 23.

Not able to locate this watch in any ads; this may be the first 23 jewel 11ALACD on site as I did not find any other 23J. Not too many 23 jewel calendar watch models; the 23 jewel Date Kings/ Time Centers have the 10 ligne size, I think.

We have one Oceanographer in the database with 23 Jewels from this era, but movement model number is unknown; most of these models are seen with an 11 ligne 17 jewel movement; and not all Oceanographers had the name on the dial.

Sitting at Unknown for now

Hi Andersok, thank you for taking the time to research the watch, it is a puzzler this one.

Thanks for all the comments and observations, this is my new favourite watch and hopefully the first of many Bulova times.
