I guess by our current standard we would tag this as a 1969 Accutron 214. That is my vote.

What fascinates me is that David is still in possession of a gift from parents, marking his 21st birthday (forty two years ago) AND it's a Bulova. I am so jealous. I think this is a wonderful watch, for all the right reasons. I not sure I care what we call it, but I LOVE IT!!

Non- conforming as it has the incorrect dial, or the incorrect crystal of a Spaceview model.

If so many "Spaceview" are non-conforming, do we stray from our norm and call this a 1969 Accutron 214 Spaceview non-conforming?  ....or is that a can of worms...

Generic Accutron 214.

I'd only call it a Spaceview if it had the correct style crystal or chapter ring, otherwise its just an Accutron with no dial.

This record remains a generic Accutron based on new DB format and "the vote" above.  While a Spaceview conversion, it looks like folks wanna leave entered as generic Accutron.  There will never be a model number for these conversions.  Folks had suggested a possible
Accutron Spaceview "non-conforming" but it didn't pass the muster.
